These French-style fully tapered rolling pins are ideal for anyone looking for unique and beautiful tools for the baker or aspiring pastry chef. These are hand crafted in my small woodworking shop in Northern California.  Apple wood is one of my favorite woods for kitchen items due to the wood's beauty, density, and smooth finish.  This particular apple wood is nicely figure with some interesting cracks and voids (filled), that give each pin a unique personality.  Every rolling pin is carefully shaped and sanded (including the ends), the “grain is raised” with water, sanded again to 400 grit, and then the food-safe finish is applied.
